Already RCNSW has started working with the newly elected Minns Government, recently meeting with The Hon Jenny Aitchison MP Minister for Regional Transport and Roads. We also hosted productive discussions with The Hon Ron Hoenig MP Minister for Local Government.

During our last board meeting we hosted NBN Local to discuss the Federal Government’s investments to upgrade the NBN Fibre Connect Upgrade Program, Fixed Wireless and Satellite Upgrade Program.

RCNSW was also invited to participate in the Infrastructure NSW Strategic Infrastructure Review Round Table to provide feedback on the NSW infrastructure capital program and current infrastructure pipeline. RCNSW Chair Mathew Dickerson provided a regional cities’ perspective on the State’s infrastructure capital program to assist the Government in the preparation of the State Budget 2023-24.

We are also scheduled to meet with The Hon Tara Moriarty MLC Minister for Agriculture, Regional New South Wales and Western New South Wales and The Hon Rose Jackson MLC Minister for Water, Housing, Homelessness, Mental Health, Youth and Minister for the North Coast as part of our upcoming regional roadshow to the north coast region. This is an exciting new initiative that allows our Board to share firsthand ‘on the ground’ experiences of growing regional cities.
