Regional Cities NSW promote regional jobs and lifestyle

Regional Cities New South Wales (RCNSW) is seeking government support for a new campaign to attract more people to live and work in regional New South Wales (NSW).

RCNSW has developed the Regional City Living and Working Campaign, designed to promote regional jobs and the enviable lifestyle available in regional cities across NSW.

“We see this campaign as an urgent investment with regional job vacancies now tipping over 80,000 advertised roles* - we need action today to highlight the benefits of regional living and working” Cr Dickerson explained.

“Regional cities have a strong growth agenda and we are keen to attract people to live and work in the regions” Cr Mathew Dickerson Chair of RCNSW and Mayor of Dubbo Regional Council said.

“This campaign would incorporate a Regional Jobs platform where job vacancies are posted and candidates are matched through their city of choice and the candidate’s specific skill set” Cr Dickerson explained.

RCNSW is seeking financial support from the State Government over four years to run the program on behalf of all regional cities across NSW.

“This campaign is a cost-effective way to ease the congestion of Sydney, while also strengthening regional cities and redirecting critical skills into the regions” Cr Dickerson said.

“Regional living has a lot to offer, we just need to promote the benefits and opportunities better” Cr Dickerson concluded.
