RCNSW WELCOMES NEW DEPUTY PREMIER

Regional Cities New South Wales (RCNSW) has today welcomed the appointment of the Hon. Paul Toole MP as Deputy Premier and Leader of The Nationals in New South Wales and the Hon. Bronwyn Taylor MLC as Deputy Leader of The Nationals.

“The Member for Bathurst is a worthy replacement for the Hon. John Barilaro MP who was renowned for his staunch advocacy for regional New South Wales” Cr Tim Overall Chair of RCNSW said.

Mr Toole’s previous experience both as a Minister for Regional Transport and Roads and as a member of Bathurst Regional Council will hold him in good stead to face the significant challenges ahead.

“Regional cities are facing unprecedented pressures from population growth, while still managing to balance recovery efforts from the global pandemic, bushfires and drought” Cr Overall said.

“We look forward to working with the Deputy-Premier and his cabinet colleagues on advancing the key priorities of our alliance,” said Cr Overall.

“Specifically, this includes issues such as regional housing supply, special activation and job precincts and increasing the connectivity of our member cities through road, rail, air and digital connections,” Cr Overall said.
