Out and about - September 2021

The Regional Cities NSW Board and Secretariat has been busy putting our priorities on the table, via virtual and face-to-face meetings with a range of key stakeholders.  

We recently hosted a positive meeting (pictured) with the Hon. Matt Kean MP, Minister for Energy and Environment to review the regional NSW energy policy, and discuss renewable energy installations.

We met with Mr Garry Fielding, Chair of the Regional Housing Taskforce to discuss the affordable housing shortage in regional New South Wales.

Mr Tom O’Dea, Head of NSW NBN Local also attended our Board meeting to discuss Business Fibre Zones, Fibre to the Premises and regional coverage issues.

In recent months we have also met with Mr Geoff Provost MP Member for Tweed, Mr Phillip Donato MP Member for Orange, Ms Jenny Aitchison MP Member for Maitland, Ms Helen Dalton MP Member for Murray, Mr Clayton Barr MP Member for Cessnock, Mr Justin Clancy MP Member for Albury and Mr Gurmesh Singh MP Member for Coffs Harbour.  This is in addition to meetings with a number of departmental officials including NSW Treasury and Department of Regional NSW.
